} A University of Zurich (within German: Universität Zürich) is the big university of Switzerland, in the city of Zurich. It was founded in April 29, 1833 with faculties of theology, law, medicine and philosophy. Presently, a University has faculties of theology, arts, science, medicine, veterinary medicine, economics, and law.

History
a University was founded within 1833 using existent colleges of theology, law & medicine merged together by using a freshly faculty of Philosophy to form the University of Zurich. This was the 1st University inside Europe to become founded per state like than a monarch or even church. A university allowed women to listen around within philosophy lectures from either 1847, & admitted a number one female doctorial student in 1866. A Faculty of Veterinary Medicine was added within 1901, a oldest such faculty in the globe. Inside 1914, A University moved to fresh premiss in Rämistrasse 71, designed per designer Karl Moser.
